Russell Hornsby is an American actor who was born on May 15, 1974, in Oakland, California. His mother was a nurse, and his father was a former police officer. He grew up in Oakland and attended St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley. Hornsby went on to attend Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting.
After graduating from Boston University, Hornsby moved to New York City to pursue his acting career. He began working in theater and landed his first television role in 2000 on the show “Gideon’s Crossing.”
