In 1984, she moved to the United States and landed her first major role as Paige Matheson in the hit television series “Knots Landing”.

After leaving “Knots Landing” in 1993, Sheridan appeared in a number of television shows and movies, including “Desperate Housewives”, “The Sure Thing”, and “Noises Off”. She also made a name for herself on Broadway, appearing in productions of “The Pirates of Penzance” and “The Will Rogers Follies”.
